I’m beginning to feel like we’re living in a ‘banana’ republic. It’s truly unfortunate that there is currently no credible threat to Stephen Harper’s hold on power. He will become more arrogant and dismissive of criticism as time passes, until, like Brian Mulroney before him, he will be universally reviled.
Will donate in person – don’t want to use paypal.

I’m hoping to bring my girlfriend out to this. Spread the word!
We, the citizens need to work. Why don’t the MPs? Or, do they need to volunteer at the Olympics?
I can’t believe that Canadians are actually doing something democratic. I am proud of everyone who disagrees and SHOWS up to prove it. Maybe we will earn our democracy yet.
Come on Canadians!
I am a senior and will be at the event on Saturday to prove that we are not the elite of Canada but hard working involved citizens. It is important to show Harper and Clement we have a strong voice and do not appreciate their poor leadership for partisan purposes.
I will be bringing my 79 year old mother and her two friends–90 and 78– to the rally on Saturday. They have never been to a political rally in their lives but they want to stand up for Canada. They follow politics, vote, and are fed up with Harper.

Good turnout today! People around me were estimating 600. I’d say the average age was about 50, although there was a good mix. People made lots of good signs.
Thanks for very good organizing. I liked the range of speakers. Brief speeches was the way to go.
Most of all, it was a great atmosphere. Serious but upbeat, and everyone seemed engaged.
