    Good morning

vancouver seems like to have as much as tax as tax society as tax in property & gas & income & business & now HST
to punish citizens why not increase the minimum wages so citizens have more $$$ to pay for HST…government only knows by keep taxing taxing for more $$$ to them not to citizens & I not seen any indications that government will adjust the minimum wages in the next 2 years until another big election happen in 2012 when citizens will vote for NDP not Liberals due to HST & minimum wages so at that time may be a chance to adjust the level & rates of minimum wages again to the highest in canada again as 8 years ago after 10 years. Even though any petitions government will not listen because if petitions can change government mind how can government run every society in the world even though no one will enjoy inflation & taxes keep rising & a new tax comes every year & petition is not aggressive enough to change government mind except protests so why not having a BIG one HST protest after olympic on April fool…

    Good morning

My daughter is having interested in studying politics & one day she ask me why our BC premier Gordon campbell has committed in Impaired drink driving & caught in Hawaii in 2003 & we all knew in canada that drink driving is very serious crime & I think that for canada always indicated as a equal country would not allow a person can still be a BC premier who has a criminal record as a role model to publics concerning without any trustfulness & accountability & integrity & fairfulness are key issues for loyality & I do not know how to answer?

    cheers 2010

Why not call the HST just as High Sales Tax because 7% more on top of 5% GST & it’s high higher than inflation rate or Harm Sales Tax sticking on the wall in travel agency & restaurant which are the most affected business during olympics & after July 1 tourists & new immigrant will know & not asking everytime they seen firstly & why ?

Thanks folks for doing all your hard organizing. I’ll be at the rally.

Some things to keep in mind though:
-It is not as though Canada was democratic before Harper and his proroguing binge.
-We must demand real change in our democratic nature; beyond banishing the ability to prorogue; beyond establishing proportional elector representation; beyond voting for a random person every two-four years; beyond our explicit and direct colonial nature; beyond dependence on international capital for our economic ‘development’ that we do not see the profits of.

We need real electoral democracy, real parliamentary, participatory democracy and economic democracy.

We should all just go protest at the local conservative MP’s offices starting on Jan 25th. If you don’t have a local conservative MP consider yourself lucky.

protesting at a local mp’s office is a good plan too!
    do both!
