RALLY PLANNING GROUP MEETINGS
- Thursday January 14 2009 at 7pm
Everything Chocolate Cafe (130 Davis Drive, Newmarket — Newmarket Plaza next to Salvation Army)
- January 19, 2009, 7pm to 8pm.
Newmarket Public Library
I’m sorry I can’t attend the planning meetings, but I’d very much like to attend the rally itself, if I could get advance information about place and plans.
Thank you.
I’m not able to attend the planning meeting, but I’d like to try to attend the rally. Please send me updates on where it will be held. Thanks!
This protest does not represent Canadians at large, or any specefic Party, for certain not the Liberal Party of Canada. The decision made by our Prime Minister may be questionable, but there have been other PM’s doing the same performance on stage as our present PM..The voters decision will be based on Jobs….not pension plans for future senior citizens when we cannot even help those who have retired recently at 60-65..
For those who couldn’t make the meeting last night:
- rally to start at Newmarket Town Square, adjacent to the library; 1pm on Jan 23
- individuals will be offered the chance to present a less-than-five minute, non-partisan view of why they are against the prorogue of parliament
- a national unity parade will be performed by all participants from the town square to Lois Brown’s local constituency office at Yonge and Mulock; bring Canadian stuff (flags, hats, etc.)
- additional planning meeting on Tuesday Jan 19 at the library (see above)
- those creating signs of their own are asked to make “carry only” or “sandwich board style”; the wooden stakes to raise them up could be misconstrued by local law authorities as threatening
- volunteers to get the word out – there are people in Newmarket who don’t know parliament is suspended! – please post above or on the facebook. people to get signs out in Newmarket/Aurora are needed!!
We will both be participating. Hopefully we will get to the planning meeting on Tuesday night. Great planning, compliments to the organizers!
Hi People!
Thanks for your interest in the Newmarket rally — we really need you there!
We need to reach people — neighbours, co-workers, friends, people in line at the grocery store — who aren’t aware of the issue and don’t have computer access.
And it helps to write your MP and any other MPs, your local paper, the Prime Minister’s office, even the Governor General.
Please let me know if you want flyers and posters to distribute.
You can find useful info here, if you are a Facebook User:

Lots of links, local news articles, meeting updates etc.
If you want to contact me directly, please email precision_english@hotmail.com — I’d love to talk to you.
See you on the 23rd, when we send a strong message: “Get Back To Work!”
All the best,

I will be there, but where is the Newmarket Town Square?
